Founded in 2004 by Claire Weir, Fiona Smith and James Talbot UPAS started out relativly small with small showings of a few series and movies but has since expanded far beyond that.

The society now offers its services as a great social medium to bring together the students of portsmouth university with a certain preference to japanese animation. With reguarly showings of the latest series, movies and OAVs on offer from the far east. Socials and pub crawls are also known to occur resulting in great memories/liver damage.
